Immersive Learning Experience
The Warwick Valley School's cheerleading teams embarked on an exciting four-day journey to the National Cheer Association (NCA) Cheer Camp in Pennsylvania, marking the beginning of their fall preseason. The varsity and junior varsity squads were among the first teams to kick off this experience, and they did so with a bang!
Exceptional Skills and Dedication
Both teams demonstrated exceptional skills and dedication throughout the camp, showcasing their hard work and enthusiasm. Their numerous awards and recognitions highlight the commitment to and talent for cheerleading.
Varsity Team Shines
The varsity team stood out with their outstanding performance, topping 19 teams to earn the prestigious NCA Best All Around 2024 Award. They also received the Spirit Stick for all four days of camp, a symbol of excellent sportsmanship and character. Additionally, they secured the Mega Spirit Stick on Day 2.
The varsity team achieved 3rd Place in their Jam Performance, and won both a Tumble Technical Award and a Team Herkie Award. Individual accolades included:
Top Gun Jump Winner
Amelia Barravecchia was crowned the Top Gun Jump Winner.
Top Gun Tumble Winner
Taylor Secord took home the Top Gun Tumble Winner title.
NCA All-Americans

Additional Accolades
Taylor Secord also received the NCA All-American Top Overall Camp Score. Amelia Barravecchia, Gabi DiMarco, and Olivia Retcho were honored with the Pin It Forward Award.
Junior Varsity Team Achieves Great Success
The junior varsity team had an outstanding camp, securing the Spirit Stick for all four days and earning 2nd Place in the Jam Performance. Congratulations to Emma Pasciuto for her Pin It Forward recognition.
